i have a 2013 audi s4 been sitting for years due to a shop messing the car up. to make a long story short the down pipes were changed out, somewhere along the line something happened and the shop replaced the ecu, it went to the local dealer and they said no communication with ecu , the tech at the shop replaced 2 pins at t94 67 and 68 and restored communication, he used vcds coding to long code the ecu , thats where it ends for them, now i have it and it seems maybe the ecu is in component protection and not interpreting can messages from the trans i found in j623 ecu the chassis number is not there and it also shows number of keys adapted 0, in j393 chassis number shows correctly and number of keys adapted shows 3, the car sets a p08500 park neutral safety code in the ecu and in ecu the gear shows 0 , in transmission it shows properly matches dash and shifter position. viewing the data does it seem it needs programming in the ecu still?
