Ha Ha oh yeah same here, constant **** pops up but by the looks of things stareing at the **** may be better suited for our time as it seems no one can get this thing installed.

Someone please post an actual download link.

Ok I will!

I just recently purchased a $7 OBDII Vag-Com Cable from Ebay. The cable is generic from Japan and came with a mini cd to install the Ross-Tech VCDS (Light Version) which can also be found here -> hXXp://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/ (replaxe "XX" with "tt").

Any cable is going to work as long as you have the ross tech software to make all the changes, thats like saying one usb cable is going to do more than another usb cable because of the brand nme (this is not true, they will all do the same).

With the no name Vag-Com cable and the free ross-tech software installed I was able to read & write enough codes to change my clock to a 12 hr. Auto lock my doors at 15km/h, roll up/down windows with key fob etc... all for $7 bucks!

I installed the software on my windows 7 lap top. In order to run the program correctly I have to right click and "run as administrator" but ross-tech software works on almost every version of windows.

Quit spending $300 & "hacking" the software... get a cable and download the free "light" version and you'll be set. Hope this helps someone!

That works about 70% of time.. really hit or miss on whether a certain module will work on any given day...

Im going through ebay on these cables, as for example:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/OBD2-USB-Cable-KK...efaultDomain_0

It does not list B5 A4 for compatibility. All of them are like that. Im assuming it should be compatible though....
