VAG COM Error- CAN: Not Ready

VAG COM Error- CAN: Not Ready
Hey Guys,
Hoping you can help me out here. When I plug in my VAG COM cable to my 2004 B6 Audi A4 Avant and run VCDS 12.12.0 test I receive the following error "CAN: Not Ready"
All other test seem to come back with positive results.
Currently running off of my laptop in a vm Windows XP.
