I'm about to go to do an auto tranny fluid flush and I heard that you have to have Vag-Com to monitor something...does any know if this is completely nessacary because I don't want to spend the money on a Vag-Com thanks

not 100% sure on the procedure, but the reason for the vagcom is so that you can monitor the trans temperature. The fluid needs to be filled to the proper level at a specific temperature. I've read accounts of people just refilling with the amount of fluid that came out, or using the SWAG/eyeball method with varying degrees of success.

Tyler, I forgot to mention this to you earlier - the vagcom method might only be for the tip cars (not positive). Yours is not tip so it may not apply - hopefully more replies will come in to clear that up.

the guy that i took it to is an audi dealer/audi mechanic. he charged me $100 for the oil synthetic tranny oil and $100 for the job. btw if you wanna do it your self you need that special pump or w/e to put the oil in the tranny, i believe that they pump it into the same hole you drain the oil? not sure on that, all i know is that i couldnt do it my self.
