i have a 2000 audi a4 and when i hook up my vagcom to try and set up my remote to roll up/down my windows when i hold down the lock/unlock button, when i try and enter the menu to get to this part i get an error, i cant remember which area i clicked on on the vag menu as a friend of mine did it since he had already done it on his VW golf. Is it even possible to do this on my car? if so how would i do it?

 

It's most likely the ebay cable. Yes, the genuine Ross-Tech stuff is more expensive, but it 'just works'.

 

What module did you log into to? Comfort Convenience Module 46? or Central locking 25?

Depending on the year of Golf 2005.5^ or what module is in your car VCDS/Vag com cannot do it. You will need a serial OBD2 cable and a DOS based program called VDS-PRO. Search for window roll-up on Fred's TDI Page. TDIClub.com. VW TDI Enthusiast Community
