VCDS to disable abs and or air bag light.
OK before anyone starts to reply on this threat pleas read the whole thing.
Im interested in disabling the abs totally and the air bag so there will be never a
abs or air bag light on my dash. im not interested to hear how unsafe it will be if i disable the abs or air bag system and how awsome these systems are or how to rebuild the modules and stuff like that. And dont tell me that this is not possible because i know for a fact that it is, im not going to get into details why im so sure so lets leave it at that. So my only interest is to get info on how to disable these systems, Right now im working on a 01 a6 2.7t and it has the bosch 5.3 pump.
Thank you.

Well, having just dealt with an ABS rebuild, AND having dealt with fixing something in the instrument cluster a couple of years ago, I actually think it would be easier and cheaper to deal with the ABS module directly. It's not that hard to take out, and you can get it rebuilt for $50.
If you wanted to disable the LEDs in the instrument cluster you'd have to know a lot about soldering, and you'd risk breaking the cluster, and on top of that there's probably no way to stop the beeping, at least not without breaking ALL beeps from the cluster.
