Oh wait I did, Ummm so yesterday or maybe the day before was interesting because it's the first time I have heard the dentist drill sound coming from the driver side turbo. I'm no expert but I have a feeling Ko4's are not to far away. With that being said can you guys and gals keep your ears to the ground and on the lookout for maybe a used set. I'll buy new if I have to but a used set would certainly work. Soon we'll be having a tech day and pulling a motor, I'll keep everyone informed.

Sweet. I'll definitely keep an eye/ear out. Sounds like a fun tech day.

Doug, there is a place in Santa Fe Springs that specialize in rebuilding/upgrading turbos. You should check them out. They probably have used turbos laying around aswell. Sorry I can't remember the name of the business atm (cause I only drive by it). And atm I am not in CA so I can't drive by and get you the number. If you are interested I can try to get the number from a friend that works not too far from there.

Either way I think getting your turbo re-furb'd will be cheaper than buying another turbo. Though there are the few times where you can find ppl selling used turbos for dirt cheap.

I think getting them rebuilt would be cheaper as well, But I want Ko4's. Therefore if I can find some that are already broken and rebuid them that would be optimal.

This is in your neighborhood http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/1010562257.html. 900 bucks for a non running car, but it has lots of xtra's along with a k04 turbo.

Edited: Just noticed the date this was posted on CR.. May not be available anymore but doesnt hurt to try and contact.

That K04 won't work for Doug's car, but it will for mine. I'm going to reply to this ad right now.
