Well I've had my Audi for almost a year now and sadly this is my first post. I frequent the forums for tips but now I find a longing to meet and talk with others who love their Audis!!
So for intros my names Josh and I live in SD. I was in the Marines for 4 years but didn't like it enough to reenlist. Now I go to school full time. My Audi is a love hate relationship. The Specs are:

2000 A6 4.2l V8
About 90,000 miles
Salvage
My Mechanic is Derek King, co founder Exalt Customs.

Anyway, I got my car for a steal at auction over in riverside, 6200.00 w/ slight front end damage. I was so excited and don't get me wrong I'm happy with it but I have had lots of problems (that's what I get from an auction car).

Besides o2 sensors and air pumps, my tranny went. Then stupid me got a tranny from this scam artist frank kuperman (Going to AZ jail now) and he stole my core and my new torque converter slightly leaks. On top of that I have a "permanent" alignment problem that makes my rear tires go fast. So overall I've put about 5,000 extra dollars into fixing it ehhh yet I still worry.

On a better note, that V8 has some pull behind it!!! Well thanks for listening to me complain, let me know what you guys think or if there are any meets coming up.

i think your line "My Audi is a love hate relationship." is pretty much a generic quote amongst every one lol...

I'm a regular visitor to Exalt myself. In fact, I've walked around your car a few times. I'm always admiring/dreaming about the 4.2 body. I don't think we've met. But, you may have seen my car there. I've got the Silver 02 A6 2.7T that has been parked next to your car a few times. I'll be down there tomorrow or Wednesday for brakes.

Derek is great. He knows his stuff and has been really helpful to me and my ride. Maybe we'll run into each other at one of the Exalt GTGs.

I was thinking about taking some better pictures of my car, the places that came to mind was La jolla cove or Point Loma cliffs. Any ideas?

 

I've never been up there but I hear that's a pretty popular spot for car photos. I normally shoot in parking garages or in front of buildings, but I've been meaning to head up there and check out the cliffs.
