Local mechanic who is friendly and honest.. and of course know what he is doing? - Orange, CA
hey guys i was wondering if any of you knew a mechanic who is friendly, honest, and good at what he does around orange, irvine, santa ana area. i've been taking my car to a shop in costa mesa but 1. 55 traffic is horrible, 2. he's not that nice. i am thinking about going bt and i need to know a mechanic who is willing to help me out with all that process and hook me up with some good deals. the guy that does my suspension in huntington beach is really nice but he doesn't do performance parts....

Having just bought my S4 two weeks ago I'm finding myself in the same predicament... After doing some homework at various other online sources I've come up with two places near and around each other. Do you have any experience with any one of these places:
GMG Racing
http://www.gmgracing.com/
Beach House Imports
http://www.beachhouseimports.com/
I'd be curious if one of them turned out to be the shop you're currently going to...

If your willing to drive over to the IE, we can take care of you. We have done a few BT applications along with custom work (inlet pipe, etc... ) for the BT applications.

Im not sure where exactly you are located but http://www.canyonracermotorsports.com/ in mission viejo is the best place I have come across. Its basicly 1 guy with his own garage that knows EVERYTHING about VW/Audi's. Hes a very cool guy, definatly knows what hes doing, very honest, great prices, and is all around great. Id HIGHLY reccomend him!

GMG racing is where i got my car chipped and beach house imports is where i usually go.
GMG racing tried to jip me with suspension+installation price so i decided not to go..
tim at beach house imports is a nice guy he hooked me up with some stuff but it just seems like he doesn't want to answer any of my questions.. honestly as a newb i need someone to answer my questions and that's why i was looking for a new mechanic. i think i'm gonna try out that canyon race motorsports. thanks fusion x.
and dahonam, 909 is a little too far for me haha i'd like to stick with 714 or 949.. thanks tho.
