Looking for a Mechanic close to Magic Mountain
Timing belt package. It's at 86k so I want to do it soon. Also, I did the airbag test and it looks like the right front needs replacement. Valencia is pretty isolated from LA but I can definitely make it to the Valley if properly motivated.
Zat eez der problem, hope someone out there can help.

Try these guys. They do great work, both mechanical and body. Ask for Victor or Victor2 (yup, 2 of them in the shop) and tell them Gilles referred you.
They don't cut corners and don't rape you either. I used them in the past and would probably use them again if I get in a pickle and can't perform a task that requires special tools and such). They are not the cheapest but they do quality work, and still charge much less than the stealers.

Interesting. I never thought of looking for a place that didn't have German, Audi, Haus, or Tech in the name. I have an airbag on my allroad that needs attention. Is that in their realm of expertise? If he does good work and is close by I'll definitely give him a call.
They do a lot of VW and Audi in addition to MB, and they worked on my 97 A4 tranny that Keys Audi f....ed up. They also do a fantastic paint job.
I have nothing to gain by advertising their shop... I am just a happy customer!
