Default can i use factory lug bolts with 5mm spacers???

i just bought sum 19" rs4 wheels that are hitting my calipers in front, and upper control arm in rear. ive been told that 5mm spacers will fix this. there 45et offset wheels. can i use my factory lug bolts or do i need to buy longer ones?? and is it ok to go 5mm front and back, or should i go like 8mm in rear?? thanks in advance

i had some 19" wheels with a 45 offset and had 8mm spacers with them. definitely needed longer lugs for them, i would say you probably need some longer ones with a 5mm too.

definitely make sure the spacers are hubcentric though, otherwise its a waste of money

do u think i should go with 8mm then??? ive noticed that only the 10mm and bigger have a hub built into them. the smaller ones are just flat and use ur factory hub sticking threw. that bad???

yea you will probably get a shimmy at speeds over 50 without hubcentric unless you are very careful when you mount them. i corrected my shake by centering the wheels by hand/eye, but it's a pain. just spend the $$ on hubcentric, it's worth it. if the 10mm hubcentric fits, do that, just get some lugs that are 10mm longer. make sure the seat is correct for the bolts, ball or cone, depending on your wheels.

ok ill try the 10mm. think im getting the forge motorsports spacers. im having a hard time seeing which kind of bolt these wheels need because the hole is so deep in them. the guy told me they were off an 08 audi rs4. but they dont have any audi emblems on inside so i duno if there replicas or what?? there 19's and they say ricambo italy, originale on the inside??? does that mean original equipment or something?? if they are reps, which bolts would i need? thanks for help and sorry for so many questions.

your stock wheels are ball seat, so take a look at the new ones and see if they look the same. also look at the lug bolts, see if the shape matches up. a cone seat will be like a cone, tapered smoothly. ask the people you get the spacers from to take a look at a wheel. if they are oe, my guess is they would be ball. either way, you need longer bolts if you're going to do spacers.

how much did you get the wheels for?

You can also go with a Wheel Stud kit. http://www.ringer-racing.com/product...&categoryId=37
