I'm about to order new wheels for the our 2003 audi a4 quattro. The wheels are 18x8. I'd like to have plenty of tire outside the face of the wheel if possible, NOT flush to the wheel. I was thinking a 245/40/18? is that too wide? Any suggestions would be great as I have purchased tires not quite wide as I liked before and hated them! Thanks in advance

 

Oh yeah, I plan on getting all season tires and will be using these in some snow when going to the mountains to board. Not heavy snow all the time, but every once and a while.

235/40R18 is the OE specified tire size for your A4. 245/40R18 will be too tall and cause significant speedo error & possibly rubbing.
