Default Rims question

I have a set of snow tires that were only used for a season or so from my E46(2001) BMW. They are 225/50/R16. I was hoping to use them on my 2000 A6 but am having trouble finding rims for the vehicle in that size and correct offset. I thought the offset was +35mm, but if I go with the slightly wider rim, do I need to change anything else?

Or by chance will these fit on the car on the rims they are on (BMW style 54, the "snowflake" rims)

For most Audis the offset IS +35mm, that's true. Your 225... tires are pretty skinny considering I have 245/55R18's for my winter tire setup. These are on 8" wide rims and look just right (slight overhang). I think you would need something like a 7" wide rim to make your 225's look right. Are the Beemer rims THAT skinny?

I don't know if Beemer rims fit Audis. You may have to take a rim off your Audi and fit a Beemer rim up and see if the bolt circle matches and see if it rubs anywhere. Good luck!
