Default which tires for 2007 A4 quattro

Hi,
just bought a used 2007 a4 2.0 quattro wagon. it currently has continental 235/45/HR17 tires. Two of them
need replacing.
which do you recommend?
do I need to replace all 4 at once? That's what Merchants tire told me to prevent future problems?
thanks

Any Quattro model will handle and ride so much better with all 4 tires changed at the same time. Frequent rotation from front to rear will help maximize your tires' service life. My Quattro wears the front tires about twice as fast as the rear ones, so I've been rotating them with each oil change (3-4K miles). Running tires that are not very closely matched in rolling circumference size on a Quattro can even cause premature wear of expensive driveline components. See this report: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=18
