i have an audi a4 1997 1.8t auto trans do you maintenance the trans or do a tune up and if yes every how many miles ?

Audi insists that the fluid will last the life of the car, but that is debtable. Do a quick search on google and you should find something titled, "Lifetime Auto-trans fluid BS" or something.

Lots of searching and reading are necessary. The trans is supposed to be maintenance free, but in reality it is not always the case.
