Hi everyone I am relatively new to this forum and just two days ago my transmission went to ****! I will be needing to replace it but I am havinga hard time finding one.

I have an Audi A4 1.8lt Turbo automatic with Tritonics.( I think that is what is called).

The question I have is can I put in a quattro transmission in my NON-quattro car? Please help!!! I am now with out a car and clueless on this stuff. I called the dealer but it costs $4700 for a new one!!!!! If anyone in the San Diego/LA area has one please PM me I really need one!!!!!

yes you can, but it will cost you much more than $4700 and it's sensless. Better sell your car and buy a quattro one.

Making a quattro from non-quattro suspension it's not only changing transmission, but changing rear suspension, buying rear differential axles, changing exhaust and ....... much, much more.

I think, if you'll search you can find a used transmission for $500 or less.

Yeah for 5 grand hell you could have a shop make it a 5 speed for that cost. You can even E-bay them and get one for 1,000...don't forget you cna get an Passat tranny too

But most of the tranny problems that do happen are TC problems. Give use details on what iusses you are having because changing the ATF and swaping the TC to a level ten is far less costly and makes your ride sweet too
