B5 s4 lowering springs input needed
It's finally time to get the s4 sitting pretty w/ some new wheels and a lower agressive stance.
I thought Id see what kind of suggestions / input every 1 had regarding upgrading my springs & shocks.
On my previous car (95 nissan 240sx) I had Eibach springs / koni shocks - I loved the handling & ride
but was a little disapointed with the ride height - (about a 1.2"F and 1.0"R) (keep in mind I only had the stock 16' rims on)
My plan is to get some 19" wheels & lower the car to a bit more aggressive yet still drivable stance. Not looking to slam the car & deal w/ rubbing & having to roll my fenders either... Performance is still key.
I really am not looking for adjustablility so I'm not too concerned w/ coilovers. But I would like some suggestions on spring / shock combinations. I've searched the forums & it seems the bilstein shocks are the way to go.. as for the springs -
* Eibach has a pro kit that goes 1.7"F & 1.3"R - (still weary bec. it seems that would not close the wheel / fender gap enough)
* Vogtland offers sport springs that are a 25 mm drop - defenitely not low enough.
* Tein makes a sport spring that goes 1.5" - but Im pretty wary of Tein being comparatively new to Euro scene
does anyone have any other suggestions or opinions on these - maybe the 1.7"/ 1.3 " drop would look ok w/ 19's?
All your comments are appreciated !
