Yes people have done quattro burn outs.

 

around 300-350HP to the wheels.

 

It takes some serious effort to get my tires to squeel in an open parking lot when I'm pullin some tokyo drift moves . Then I pumped my tires up to 32 psi (recommended) from 27 (oops) and it was a little easier. My brother put an LSD in his E36 and he can break loose anywhere (rwd helps too..).

Its gonna take a whole lotta power and a high hp/tq rated clutch and a good launch to make your tires spin w/ quattro.

 

You need a BT that puts down close to 300awhp, a stage 3+ clutch, and a rev limiter.

About half way down there is a link that says "here's the vid" that is the vid of his burnout, pretty impressive.

 

yeah, I have about 250whp and I can't do it. In the rain, though, that is a diff story.
