Hi There, new around here

I have an interesting opertunity to have all the mechanicals and electronics from a 99 A8 for very little $
(car has been rolled)
I was wondering if there is any market for those parts as I understand it, its quite rare,
in other words , what do the engine, trans, diff, and any other suspension parts worth?

Well, the vehicle is somewhat rare, in America, but, so too is the audience in need of parts for D2 A8's. Most of us (I'm a D2 A8 owner) look to upgrade our equipment, not replace it with the same, used, stuff. Still, there are those in need who will gladly part with hard-earned cash, if, I say IF the cost is reasonable and the part is "gently" used. You'd do well if the car in question has premium options (BiXenon headlamps and associated wiring/ballast/levels/motors, or rear-sunshade and associated equipment, etc.). Those types of things will fetch a pretty penny from those anxious to acquire them...

With eBay, I'm sure you'll eventually make your investment back, and them some. No idea as to how long it'd take, tho. You rolls the doce and you takes your chances!

No premium options, huh? If it had teh BiXenon's, for instance, you could get something like $1,000.00 per side, for all teh pieces. Half again that much for the rear-shade (all parts/pieces intact).

Like I said, you'd eventually make your investment back, plus a little, but you ain't gonna get RICH overnight parting out a D2 A8. If it were a 2000-2003 I'd say you'd have a halfway better chance, but, still notgreat. If you want a secind opinion send a PM to a couple of out tech-certified guys (member's list/group filter/tech certified) and ask them whattheir experiences are with D2 A8 parts availability/costs.

Ivan, i dont think you want that interior, The leather is extra crispy and the carpets can be used for a bio hazard experiment, It been sitting with no windows in the North Texas climate for a couple of month now,
