Default Buzzing noise at high speeds

Hey guys. I brought my first audi. A 2004 A8L. I hear a buzzing noise around the drivers window at around 70-80mph.I had to take it back to the audidealer so they can certifymy car since they didnt do it before I brought it. So I had to drivea hour and ahalf to to take back to the dealer I got it from.Ibrought up the buzzing noise. They changed theinsulation strip on the doorto solve that problem but that didnt work. Irefuse to drive back up there. Do anybodyknow anything about this problem.

we might need a bit more info... is the noise high or low on the window? What approximate speed does the noise start? is the noise a buzz or more of a hum?

I've never experienced any problem like this, in any car i've ever owned, but there aren't many things that CAN buzz, around the windw. loose window trim comes to mind, initially. it wouldn't have to be very much loose to buzz, either. i'd guess you have some loose trim, not loose insulation. but, i'm not a tech or a mech, just a guy with annoying tendencies

The buzzing noise happens around 75 mph. The dealer said they fix the problem and they thought it was door insulation. The noise is not that loud but it do get louder the faster I go. It still annoying when I hear it when its suppose to be a quiet ride. I think its bad when I have to turn up the radio to drown out the sound. I am just hoping that this dealer fix the noise on monday.

Hi
I have an 03 4.2 and also had this buzzing noise at around 60-70mph. I also experienced it on another 03 4.2 I test drove so it does seem common. The noise appears to come from the window or door but was in my case from the wing mirror. It is air passing through a small gap between the mirror and the fixed arm it is attached to. The solution was to stick some noise reducing felt in this gap and problem goes away. Hope this is of help.

That was excactly the problem. I wish you would have posted that 2 months ago. It took about 3 trips to the dealer to find the problem. I been dealing with the sound since I brought the car about 3 months ago. I have to take it in on tuesday so they can replace the mirror.

I took a test drive with the tech. He was trying so many things. So we put tape on the part that folds up and found out it was the mirror. When the mirror is folded up it do not make the noise. So I was kind of relieved when we found it. I was there in the shop with the tech for 6 hours. He thought it was the crome trim on the outside of the door cause it was loose. That took 2 or 3 hours to replace. The only reason I didnt get the mirror replace because they had to order the part and I didnt want to drive 1 1/2 hours to go back up there to get it fixed. So I am going to my local dealer which is 15 minutes away and explain this whole situation to them and if they want I can take ride with the tech so I can help him find it.
