Purchasing A3 2.0T, any advice??
I am looking to purchase a 2009 Audi A3 2.0T today. It has approx 80k miles (carfax states it was a fleet car as to why miles are so high). Anything I should be aware of? Warnings, etc? It does have a slight engine noise, but nothing different than what I usually hear in used cars really. It also has a slight hesitation when first coming off of a complete stop and a "downshifting" type feeling when stopping. I used to have a 2001 BMW 325i and it feels a lot like what it would do so I have assumed it was just the type of acceleration, etc that higher grade sport cars have. It also will have a slight oil smell after racing around a little, assume that may be somewhat normal also? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. It is a second car as my 16 yr old son just got his license and I am giving him my expedition. Really don't want to be stuck in a bad car or with lots of repairs, etc.

was the noise like a ticking from the engine? that's the direct injection and it's normal.
the slight hesitation off the line might be hill-assist. you can look it up in the manual. you'll figure out how to launch your car to avoid it though =)
otherwise, check the diverter valve, the pcv, the cam sensor, camshaft and high pressure fuel pump. those are common problem areas
