Car has 180k but a new motor was put in with only 60k on it a few years ago since the oil change place forgot the drainplug and had to replace the motor.

Has a leak on the valve cover. I was looking this up and it appears its a common problem. Shouldnt cost much and should take a few hours, I hear the cam seal is good to replace too at this time.

This is a common problem right? is this car worth it for 900$?!

If it runs and can pass your state's safety or emissions inspections then yes. Autotrader has them at about $4K or so in my area. Even a non-runner is $1500

Sounds like a good deal for $900. Paint & body OK too? Do they have records of engine replacement to prove they're not blowing smoke? Keep in mind an engine with 60K couple of years ago may be at or getting close to needing timing belt replacement, so keep that in mind.

 

For $900 if you don't take it I will!!!
