Default Removing Steering Wheel

I need to change out my signal stalk. Anyone have a diagram or steps in removing the steering wheel? Or if you have done it, possibly things I should be looking out for. THnx

You will need long torx bits, and #10 or 12 triple square bits. Disconnect the battery, remove the 2 torx at the rear of the steering wheel to remove the airbag. Disconnect the electrical connectors and use triple square bit to remove the bolt holding the steering wheel. Make sure to mark the location of the steering wheel in relation to the column using a piece of tape. You may need a steering wheel puller, but mine came off without. Then there a several more screws and two more holding the column adjusting handle. You take the bottom cover off first and then the top comes off.

I was not sure if the 2001 was the same as my 97 but it seems to be

Check this link for the discussion we had when I did the same thing.
