2006 A4 2.0T CVT tranny issue.
Hey everyone.
Around a months ago I bought an Audi A4 2006 2.0T Automatic CVT.
Last week I started hearing this clicking noise from both wheels, took it to my mechanic, he checked everything from brakes to axles and what not and he is sure that it's because of diff. He told me that I would have change the whole tranny in order to fix it since the diff is inside the tranny.
Besides the clicking noise at low speed, the car drives very well.
What are my options? How much would it cost to get it fixed? Any ideas if it might be something else?
The car has 95k km on it.
Thanks..

Find a new mechanic. He's correct that the "diff" is technically part of the transmission, but clicking at low speed sounds more like an axle to me. At least get a second opinion before you look at replacing the transmission (especially if your mechanic isn't a dedicated German specialist).
