Hey all,

I've been searching and searching and I just can't find out exactly what code reader, or adapter I need for my 93 V8 Quattro. I bought an OBDII code reader that was what all the resources I came across said I needed, then I find the adapters are way different. I'm in the process of fabricating an adapter for between my new code reader and the funky diagnostic plugs, but I thought I'd ask if anyone knew or knew of a source that might help or sell me something.


My method is going to be to make coded jumpers from pin to pin then arrange them in the most sensible patterns until it produces a code for a problem that I know exists. But this method is going to be time consuming and might not work (I could get lucky and get it right the first few tries or my code reader could simply be incompatible.)

Any advice, tips or links would be greatly appreciated.

This is my first post here, but this Audi is my new project/passion, so I plan on sticking around here, possibly fixing up another audi after this one.
