Default 1994 90 Quattro Power Loss

Hi, my 1994 90 Quattro was running great, i pulled out of my friends driveway and went down the street to a stop sign, when i pulled out from the stop sign, there was no power left to accelerate. I could get it up to about 40mph but it took for ever, and it slowly got worse to a point where i could not get up to 15mph, and now i can barely start it. When it starts it idols fine, but when i put it into gear it dies. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Could it be the mass air meter? Thanks.

Mine did that I finally found that it was the fuel pump...It was a night mare...I did not have this forum...and I replaced every thing except the pump...once I replaced it the car ran great...Before you do that though make sure all of the hoses going to the fuel distributor are hooked up and not cracked....
