My 88 2.0 5spd.really struggles when i try to accelerate.It has made a screaming noise since i bought it. noise is apparently coming from timing cover removed all other belts and car still screams accompanied by powerloss.Both only happen @2000 rpms or more. the car holds back when i hit the gas and takes about 30 seconds to reach 50mph I kept driving the car for about two months just didnt get anywhere fast.it ran smoothly if i drove like youre grandma. but then the idle got wacky and the car sometimes will stall.sometimes it starts up again sometimes not. I replaced timing belt. and fuel filter. It ran slightly better for a while but out of nowhere the idle hop came back if the rpms got to low. i was able to mash the gas and keep it from stalling and drove it home in lower gears to keep the rpms up,I went out the next day and the car ran fine.but the problem came back since and one day driving home I popped the clutch the idle hopped and the car shut off before I could mash the gas pedal. The car currently wont start. car turns over the fuel pump wines when I turn the key.tested for spark and got only one weak spark per key turn. what next?
