Default Brights indicator reversed

Hello All,

I've recenlty picked up a used car for a second vehicle. I've purchase a 1995 90 Quattro. Very little to complain about, happy with the car.

It does seem to have a couple of gremlins. My brights indicator is reversed of actual setting. When my brights are on, the indicator is off. When running low the brights indicator lights. The flash to pass also is reversed. The fog lights, though, do function properly...the switches light when the headlights are low beam.

Any ideas or assistance would be appreciated

Thanks

I'm not aware of any mods to the lighting. Nothing is obvious. What is the modification you are describing?

Thanks.

audi made two diffirent type of headlights for US and euro models .... the US ones are poopy, but the euro headlights are really good ... so some people swithc the us lights for the euro ones .. since they are both made by audi the will look stock because they are .. there are sme difirences in the headlight assymbly however and if some one decides to switch for the euro lights then a wiring harness must be used and if its not wired proper that could cause problems

There have been some odd issues with the electric behind the radio. It could well be a refit of the lights. The car is in great shape considering the years and miles. I'll check the lighting. I also noticed today that the dash has been open before...I'll have to see if anything could have been rewired incorrectly.

Thanks for the help.

Another problem that you likely have not herd of is the light selector gets hot and the contacts melt . so someone not wanting to replace the switch will move the wires around , The low beams switch melts so the wires are moved around so the lights in the high beam position turns on the low beams . Then when the switch is eventually replaced the wires need to be returned to the original positions .
Right now I have this exact problem but have not taken the time to fix as they work , just assbackwards
