Default Jerking problem whenever i hit & release the gas pedal

Audi Coupe GT 1985 5-speed

The problem i'm having with the car is that, with the car already in gear, whenever I step on the gas pedal to accelerate it jerk violently and then drive as normal.

It does that when i push on the gas pedal and it also does it when i let go of the gas pedal.
It even does it when i am very gentle with it... so its not like I am flooring it and just letting go of the pedal.

In lower gear, it felt like my car got rear ended everytime i push and release the gas pedal.

In higher gear, the effect is minimal but it's still there.

It's really annoying and obviously not normal, problem only started recently.

Motor mounts.
They're shot.
Replace them.
