AUTO BOX SHIFTING
HI
I HAVE A 2005 2.5TDI AUTO THAT HAS COVERED 25000 AND STIILL HAS 18 MONTHS WARRANTY LEFT. WHEN I PURCHASED IT I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AS I THOUGHT THE BOX WAS A LITTLE STRANGE COMPARED TO MY OTHER CAR WHICH IS A BMW AUTO. THE ALLROAD DOES NOT WANT TO BE IN 5TH BELOW ABOUT 43MPH AND IN TOWN IS UP AND DOWN THE BOX A LOT AND UNSURE OF WHAT GEAR TO BE IN.THE DEALER SAID THIS IS NORMAL AND ALL IS OK. ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS OR IS IT NORMAL.

i have the six speed but it shouldnt be going up and down at a certain speed unless you are hitting gas off and on.
Try another dealership maybe and see what they say. If you are consistent ata speed and it cant decide what gear, might be messed up.
Or just use the autostick.
