The blinkers bulbs work fine.. I know this because they still emit light when i turn my blinkers on (if they end up working that time) and my emergency flashers work fine. The problem I'm having is that almost every time i try and use my blinker, it has an irregular flash going really fast for 2 flashes and then shutting off, un-even flashing (slowing down and speeding up), Flashing a few times and then shutting off, Or not working at all. And then every once in a while it will work fine (rarely). I went to the dealership and they said it would cost me around 400 dollars to diagnose and repair the problem which is a complete rip off. I asked this guy i know in the accesories department what he thought it could be and he told me he thought that my "flasher relay" was broken and it is a 14 dollar part. I was wondering if anyone here has had this issue or knows what it could be and how i can get started on fixing it.

 

Yep I did. pretty much the same problem. But my car is still certified, so they fixed it for free.

It is without a doubt your flasher relay. I ordered the part for something like $30 and replaced it myself.

You DO NOT need to remove the stereo. Just use two butter knives and gently pry off the woodgrain plastic piece around your hazard switch. Again, be gentle and don't force it. From there the rest is a snap.
