Default Blinker Issues, please help!

I have a 98 A6 with a blinker issue. The right front bulb is acting strange. The right blinkers (including the front) will work fine for one or two clicks and then the front blinker will stop working and the side and rear blink rapidly. I took out the right front bulb and the bulb itself is fine, I cleaned the contacts and they seem fine too.

The left side works fine, hazards work fine too with the exception of the right front.

Is this a hazard relay? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

From the previous experience of people who posted with similar/identical problems, the suggestions they received, and their follow-up upon fixing the problem, you probably should look into buying a new hazard relay.

Replace the suspect bulb first. It may appear fine, but how you describe your lights reacting would point toward the bulb being blown/faulty. There may be a short that doesn't open up until the bulb heats up, as it would do after flashing a couple times. I have a spare hazard flasher if you do need one :-)
