How many miles? How's it runnin?
92k on mine. Front driver airbad starting to leak and i think the turbos are starting to leak a bit can smell some oil burning, had checked and turbo seals starting to go. Other than that, car is fine. Did timing belt, and rear wheel bearings went out too.
Have a new 3 yr extended warrenty on car so i think if everything breaks, should be covered. Only thing they dont is airbags.

My 03 Allroad (55K on it) now needs to pump up its suspension at least every day now, sometimes after only an hour or so sitting. Never did this when I bought it 3 yrs old in '05. My dealer service manager says this is normal, but I've tracked this for the past 3 weeks with a log for proof. Anyone with experience with this? Is there something my extended warranty ought to cover before emptying my own wallet? I specifically bought the AR because I need the higher ground clearance when traveling to off-road fishing locations.
Tell me more about these air compressor horror stories. I posted a question/reply earlier to someone else and said my 03 AR (bought in 05, now with 55K) settles its front end every day now. I've been tracking it daily since mid March so I can bring the log to my dealer. What am I facing here?

I was concerned about wear on my compressor when I had a slow leak and was waiting for a part to fix it, so I asked the guys at my dealership. The service manager at my dealership told me that while the compressor is pretty durable, it can burn outand when it does it's expensive to replace. He said going a short time without fixing the leak wouldn't be a problem, but he wouldn't advise driving the car with leaky suspension for more than 2 or 3 weeks.
Mine was CPO, so it was covered. From what I've read online, it doesn't look like aftermarket warranties cover the air suspension. (even though many claim to cover suspension parts, but only traditional suspension parts)
Thanks for the insights, as I suspected. It should an interesting discussion then with the Audi service manager, since I have at least 40k miles and 6 mos. left on the coverage. I bought the extended warranty from the dealer when I bought the car from them. It's always been the front end that drops, so perhaps the problem is isolated from the rear. Oh, and by the way, I sense that the suspension is feeling a little softer than when I first bought it. Does the ride height system also detract from the ride firmness when it leaks? I maintain the tire pressures at the upper end of the acceptable range. And, BTW2, the air pressure monitoring system was also messed up for the first 9 mos I had the car. Now all the sensors have been replaced and antennae's re-aimed. It works 99% of the time.
