Default IMHO, My Allroad is a lemon. Keep it or ???

I have a 2001 with 86K miles. I purchased it ~2 years ago (with 49.5K miles). In this short time span, I have about $9K in non-maintenance typerepairs. This includes:
[ul][*]Engine oil seals ($2500.)[*]CV joint ($1700.)[*]AC control module ($1500.)[*]R&L front air springs ($2200.)[*]Replacement turbos ($3500. - but covered under factory warranty)[/ul]
My check engine light came on last week and upon digging into the codes, the local repair shop (AutoHaus in Bellevue, WA) is telling me that I need a new transmission. A warrantied remanufactured trans. will set me back another $5700. + tax.

To help me make my decision on whether the car is going to be traded in on somethig else (Audi or not) would like to understand the perspectives of others on the forum.
[ol][*]What kind of service life is expected from the Allroad transmission? Is 85K miles from a trans. reasonable?[*]How many miles should I expect this engine to last? My Infinity Q45 was around 300K miles. Can I expect similar for the 2.7T?[*]Are there other drivetrain considerations I need to think about as I ponder my decision?[*]Are there other questions I need to be asking?[/ol]
All told, I really enjoy driving the car. But with these repair bills, my enjoyment is decreasing...

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I had an 01 with 86,000 miles on it and dumped it. I had put about 5k in repairs into it, that did not include the turbos or transmission. At some point you have to stop the bleeding. They're great cars until around 70,000 miles, then it's time to open up the wallet or sell. Of course, having said that, I went out and bought an 05 Allroad. Misery loves company!

I think you should sell at this point.

I worked at a dealership until recently and we fought over allroads because they generally had tons of work that needed to be done. Are you sure you need a new transmission? 99 out of 100 times the torque converters have a seal inside that tears. The converter can't lock up and it turns on the check engine light. It's not cheap, but you shouldn't have to replace the whole transmission if thats the fault. I would recomend selling.
