New Allroad owner question
Hey all,
I have a question that will help me understand whether my car is chipped or not.
I bought a pre-owned '03 Allroad 2.7T with 82,000 miles. I recently used the tiptronic and noticed that it stayed in first and did not automatically shift to second after 3000 or 4000 rpm. In my previous audi (A4), it reacted this way after I had it chipped by GIAC. Is this action normal, or does this sound like its been chipped?
Thanks in advance for your information.

A better test to see if it had been chipped would be to find another one and compare. Also if it feels "ok but nothing special" it's probably not chipped. If it screams through the gears and puts a grin on your face, it probably is. The chip really does make a huge difference. Enjoy.
Hey Guys, I bought my AR two summers ago and had 124000 KMS. It was still on CPO untill last summer. I had an inspection done just before the warranty ran out. Dealer spent over $4000- and replaced 10 of 12 ties rods, some bushings, sensor for the HVAC and radio, two air shocks and a whole bunch of other misc. stuff. Since then I put on a set of TSW wheels and Falkens, 402 mod down to 20/18mm, Unitronic chip stage 1. Next thing is the H sports sways and maybe a new DV. This is the most versatile car I have owned and one thing you won't regret is the chip. It's not the dog it was, this car cooks when you floor it.
