Default New Audi/Allroad owner

So I will start out by stating that I am a BMW man - owned 4 and loved them all. My mom traded me her '03 allroad for my '10 M3 because I have 18 month old twins and one due in July. I have to say, I really like the car. While haunted by the suspension problems, this one has 60K miles and had all bags replaced less than 10k miles ago.

My question is whether it is better to keep the suspension in the lowest setting for longevity or if that invites problems due to atrophy? I hate to move to the static conversion if I do have a problem but I don't know if I can chase around suspension problems if they do occur. The scary part is that the problem is not if but when. Any advice would be appreciated - I need this to last.
