New to owning 02 AR, 2.7T. need advice
I just bought an 02 Allroad 2.7T. It has 100k as of yesterday, was wondering what type of preventive maintenance I should invest in to keep this car on the road for a few years. So far I love the car, I traded in an SUV for it and the transition was much easier than just going to a car. It did not come with an owners manual so I don't know what some of the buttons or features are, i.e. the button on the drivers side door jam. I'm also wanting to get some maintenance done to it, hopefully stuff I can do myself, (i'm not too savvy when it comes to working on cars thought) but I'm also willing to get done at a shop. I have noticed that I might have a leak in one of my air suspensions, and plan on replacing with Arnott gen 2. other than that, the car runs great as far as I can tell. I am noticing however, the acceleration kinda lags when I press the gas. The timing belt has been changed as far as I know at 65k, but I'll probably replace anyways to be on the safe side, can't trust a dealers word. I'm worried about the turbo going out and any leaking oil that I've heard is typical with AR's. The transmission seems to be working fine, unless that lag in acceleration has anything to do with it, but I'll probably invest in a warranty that will cover it if it decides to go out. Anybody have any tips, advice or pointers on things I should have looked at or serviced?
