Default Rear Washer Malfunction

My rear washer (spray) is no longer working. When I engage the sprayer the pump can be heard and fluid comes out bottom of car drivers near rear wheel. Is there a connection in that region or is the line ruined?

The line runs along the roof. Check your headliner for discoloration. There's a leak somewhere and it often makes its way through the headliner. Sometimes the leak is at the hatch, so it may be running down toward the wheel well. Open the hatch and take a look around for fluid. I think there is a DIY for the most common leak repair on allroadfaq.com

I have had same problem and found that a connector in the pipe from the engine compartment up into the tailgate had become disconnected. The connector is over the rear wheel arch below / behind the rear base speaker and under the sound-proof lining. You have to take off the side panel of the luggage compartment, then remove the base speaker, then lift the lining to find the pipe and the connector and make it good again. I suspect that it had come apart because the fluid had frozen in this cold winter. Must make sure I pump the winter mixture through to the rear washer next year!
