Default Day 1- OK-Service, Right rear windwo malfunction

Hi everybody

I just bought my 2000 S4 yesterday. Car is super clean and a simply amazing looking. At the time of inspection everything that I could see checked out until...............

Out driving the car out downtown last night the right rear window stopped working. I heard some grinding occasionally but it just seamed that the motor wasn't responding. Me and my friends messed around with it trying to pull it up for a few minutes but decided to drive it home instead to avoid possible rain. I can pull the window up part of the way but it will just slide back down So I'm pist. Also the

OK
Service!

Came on as soon as this problem started. Would the Service light come on because the window is malfunctioning?

Is there some way that he could have reset the computer to avoid having the
OK
Service!
light come on during initial inspection? I'm fuming but I'm not sure what can be done.

Thanks

I have since contacted the seller. He agreed to pay for the window so everything is working out well. THe question I was mostly seeking an answer for was whether or not the OK Service light is coming on because of the window malfunction. I understand that the service light could be coming on for just about anything. It seams to make sense that it is the window because the OK service! came on right when the malfunction happened. It is jsut a new experience having a car that would be so indepth as to know when a window motor goes out.

Bye the way, I live in Savannah Georgia

wait is it saying just "OK" or the word service too? Eveytime you turn on the car the yellow "OK" should pop up.

WHen I first turn on the car the same place where it says "press clutch to start" says, "OK" then below it says "Service". The car turns over then the lights disappears.
Is this normal? Nonetheless I am bringing the car to the Dealership and I'll have them check everything out.

I've never seen "service" I've seen IN1, IN3, and Oil.
