Default Suspension level control module anyone?

Big suprise. I'm having problems with my AR air suspension!

Last week the rear went completely down and the front appears to be all the way up. The warning light is on in the cluster and the "low" setting light is flashing on the manual controls. The controls will take the car in and out of jack mode but will not accept any other command.

I purchased the ROSS VAG-COM and ran codes. Address 34 comes up as control module malfunctioning - code 65535. The manual states the code cannot be cleared using the 1551 scan tool. I tried clearing it, it just returns.

Any suggestions before I spend +$700 for a new module? Anyone have a spare they're willing to loan (so I can verify the problem) or sell?

Thanks,

EAH

BTW- I have searched here and audiworld.com. This does not appear to be a very common failure.
