Does anyone know where the switch is that operates the red warning light on the tailgate(combined with white illumination light on my 2001 allroad)is located? This light does not come on when the tailgate is in the open position. Also the rooflight in the cargo area does not automatically turn on when the tailgate is opened- I have to turn it on manually with the switch. Any ideas? I have tested the contacts and am not getting any juice so I know its not the bulb.

Same situation here. The bulb is fine on mine yet there seems to be a loose connection somewhere. Minor annoyance... but I'd love to get to the bottom of it.

 

I've noticed the same thing long ago, but didnt really pay attention to it.
Since it doesnt illuminate, i figured its just a reflection thingy but i guess i was wrong lol
Im gonna have to stop by Audi dealer soon because my memory seat doesnt work all the time.
It works from time to time but usually doesnt. I'll ask them about it when i get a chance.
