Third-party warranty
I just purchased a 2003 AR 2.7T and given all the concerns about engine, suspension, etc., does anybody have any experience with purchasing a third party warranty?
I don’t even know if they are available for this car, but was wondering what others here thought about them.

I don't have any direct experience with this type of warranty, but I have read a lot of horror stories. Of course, each one claims that it is the best, but you'd need a decade and three law degrees to get through their contracts.
I am considering this for my '05 AR, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I plan to speak with my independent mechanic to find out from him, which plans actually cover the work (and pay for it), and which don't. I would recommend that you do the same.
Good luck...

Do no, DO NOT get a third party warranty. I had a real bad experience with one. Once you have a problem will find some loophole to prevent paying for a repair. I was left with a $2600 bill for a repair "covered" under my plan plus the money I lost purchasing the damn warranty
Yeah, I've heard some horror stories. However, there are many different offerings and from what I understand, some of them are legit.
I just saw my mechanic last Thursday, but forgot all about asking him about this.
