Turbos Failed?
This evening I got in my 2001 allroad to run to the store. It is 0 degrees here today. When I got to the store I noticed a whole lot of white looking smoke coming from the exhaust and it smelled quite bad like burning oil. At idle it was very little, but once I accelerated it really started pouring out.
I got home and started checking the car out. There is oil under both sides of the engine compartment dripping down as well as near the rear of the motor. I pulled the dipstick and there was little or no oil on it. Does this sound like both turbos failed on me? I haven't had any other problems with the car. It has 60,000 miles on it and always has ran very good. Is there anything that I can check to verify that indeed this is what has happened?
If it is indeed the case that both turbos have failed, what am I looking at? I don't have the money to get them replaced at the dealer or even at a repair shop. How difficult is it to pull them and get them rebuilt?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Is it possible that the suction pump or pcv valve has clogged and is pushing the oil past the seals? I found something in my searches about this. It just seems strange that it just happened like it did. Maybe the extreme cold weather had something to do with it?
