aimlessly searching online for individuals to talk to about where to find a 2001 S4 bank 1 cat. have tried to reset the dummy light numerous times and just keeps on staring me in the face. Came across the forum and here all you were .....seeming helpful. Also wanted to pick someone's brain about what could cause the digital display to go black or disappear when the car heats up?

 

Display problems are known to happen on these cars - if you use the search feature and try something like "pixellation" or "display problem" the related threads should show up and you'll probably find out more than you ever wanted to know As for the cat, there are people parting out cars in the classifieds, and someone may have one. If not, www.shokan.com in upstate NY near Woodstock has a good reputation - they're an Audi salvage yard. I haven't bought from them but I've talked to them on the phone a few times and they were very helpful - they'd be a good bet for replacing your cat.

 

Thanks definately look into it. This is my 2nd Audi (first was 02 A4 1.8 turbo tiptronic----not worth it) and they told me they replaced both Cats needless to say it was only one.
