Does anyone know any places that buy your old turbo's off you? Just replaced my old spent ones and trying to reclaim some $$. Thanks

 

Could always rebuild them yourself and sell them. Would probably be good experience. You'd probably get more money for them that way since you'd be doing all the labor yourself.

 

A friend of a friend used to work for garrick turbos. He said a while ago that it is usually the bushing that the impeller runs in that goes bad. Replace that and most of the time it's fixed. The bushing is made of brass or something similar. That's why it is I'm important to warm up and cool down your turbo.
