Default F/S Reman Close Ratio 6 speed trans

I've got a custom close ratio 6 speed trans. Great for a lower et at the strip. Thethird gear allows less of an RPM drop keeping your engine in the powerband when you need it.
Ratios are as follows:
[ul][*]3.50 first [*]1.89 second [*]1.42 third [*]1.07 fourth [*].86 fifth [*].73 sixth [*]4.11 Final Drive[/ul]
All updated parts were used, the 1st and 2nd gear surfaces are cryo treated and micropeened/polished. Shift collar sliders are anti-friction coated as well as bearing surfaces. This trans has the wide first gear and a 6 month limited guarantee.
I can also build a trans to spec. Feel free to browse my website at www.advancedautomotion.com.
If you have a core 6 speed I can deduct $600 off the price of this transmission.
If you have a core 5 speed I can deduct $200 off the price. I cover shipping on the return transmissions.

Pretty cool, what are 3-4 and 5-6 from, an Allroad?

The big problem with the S4 trans is 1st is way too short and 2nd is way too long, causing a huge RPM drop and bog on the 1-2 shift. Any solutions for that one?

Since the 1st and second gears are integral to the mainshaft, we are stuck with what was offered by the factory, unless 10people can pony up the 3-4 grand it will cost to have a custom mainshaft and 1st and 2nd gears machined as one off pieces. The only ratios avaiable are 3.50 first with a 1.89 second or a 3.75 first with a 2.06 second.

That 3rd 4th combo in our close ratio 6 speeds are from a TDI gearbox.

Another viable option is to go to a final drive ratio of 3.89. We offer that as an option to all our transmissions.

So the Allroad uses the same 3rd and 4th at the TDIs? Because the ratios are identical...

With the shorter gearing, most Stage 3 S4s would have to make the extra shift to 5th going down the strip, so I'm not sure how ideal that would be. Man, what I really want is a close ratio box with different 1st and 2nd gear ratios!

You and me both, however we're stuck with the ratios that Audigave us.

With enough money a mainshaft and matching gears can be manufactured, but your talking big bucks. Barring very deep pockets your stuck with what Audi has offered, a 3.75 1st and 2.09 second or 3.50 first and 1.89 second.

check out what these guys have to offer. Very tight ratios, and very expensive.

http://www.vsmotor.no/en_index.html

95,000 Norweigan Krone = 18,700 usd.

However with that tight of ratios you'd be going through 6 gears on the strip.
