Does it work with the D3 A8?
Actually, adding the OEM Bluetooth module isn't really that expensive...not really in the $2K ballpark. For instance:
1) if you have Onstar, you can swap the module and retain the factory mic and wiring. Cost: about $450
2) if you have the multifunction steering wheel (but don't have the RNSE), you need the oem mic and wiring etc. Cost: about $775
You can control the OEM BT module with the voice prompts from the steering wheel; very slick.

I'm a big fan of keeping the car looking as factory as possible....and I like the idea of no addtional aftermarket buttons etc on the dash.

i think this one is more appealing in my opinion, especially because it's clean looking, doesn't require you to have a certain phone (except that you have to have bluetooth), it's cheaper, and it'll still work just like the factory phone (ie muting the stereo on incoming and outgoing calls).
