Sold my 2008 S5 and I have two Audi Music Interface (AMI) cables that can be used to connect an iPhone, iPod or iPod to an Audi that has the MMI (Multi-media interface)/aka fancy screen. This allows you to navigate your songs, playlists, etc., play your iPod music as well as recharge your iPod or iPhone. It's indispensable.

Compatibility: Supposed to work with iPod 4th Generation and beyond. I'm not sure if it will charge an iPad since iPads have higher charging requirements. I have two of these since I saw an error when I switched from my iPod Touch to an iPhone 4...but after experimenting a bit more, both cables seem to work.

The exact markings on the cable are:
Cable 1: AF0 051510 A / AU4802 15.09.06 / S-19390
Cable 2: AF0 051510 E / AU5327 03.11.06 / S-49954

Note that these are original Audi OEM cables and not some cheap knockoffs.

I originally bought each of these for $39+tax. Selling each of them for $25 + cost of shipping to you.
