Default 1996 Audi A4 Quattro 5spd - Rochester, NY

I am selling my beloved 1996 Audi A4. The car has the 2.8 V6 engine coupled with a 5 speed manual transmission and the Quattro AWD system. The car has 150,000 miles and runs like new. The exterior is dark green and looks very nice. The car spent the majority of its life in the south and has only seen 1 winter, therefore there is NO rust on the car. The interior has gray leather seats with black dash with wood trim. It also has the upgraded package with the nice sound system, heated seats and the 3-spoke wheel. Also has a power moonroof.

This car is very reliable as it has ALWAYS started for me with no problems whatsoever. I have the FULL service records from dating back to the day it rolled off of the Audi dealership lot. The Audi is perfect for all year round as its powerful and handles great for summer weekend enjoyment and it is ready for the harsh winter weather with the Quattro all wheel drive system, Anti-lock ABS, and heated seats. I've seen 27mpg on the highway, which is great for a V6 with AWD.

There are two things that are noteworthy about this Audi. First, the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve sometimes gets stuck. This valve recycles about 10% of the exhaust gas back into the intake for a more efficient burn in the engine. This means that Check Engine Light comes on periodically. The only real downside to this is the car emits slightly more smog. If it wasn't for the CEL, you would never notice any difference. The part is $300 to fix, however I have never bothered as it does no harm to the car. Either way, I have dropped the KBB value of $4600 to compensate for this. The other issue is the car is just slightly out of alignment and leans to 1 side if you let go of the wheel at highway speeds. The wheel and/or car does not shake and is easily forgotten about. This shouldn't be a deal-buster as this is a quick $60 at any repair shop. If you really press me, I could probably have it done.

In the past 1.5 years of owning the car, I have done some work to keep the car in top shape. First, the oil pan (and gasket) was replced aas the IDIOTS and Jiffy Lube cracked it when changing the oil. I have also replaced all the brake pads and rotors on ALL 4 disk brakes, a few vacuum lines and the rear wheel bearings.

I am asking $4000 which I believe is a fair price considering its in great condition. If you disagree, then make me an offer. The title is clean and I have it in hand ready to sign over. If you are SERIOUS about buying it and want to go for a test drive, give me (Andy) a call at 585.259.5170. Please, no tire-kickers. Thanks.

Also, this car is my current daily driver, so its dependable. I am certain this could make a 400+ mile journey without any problems.

Picutres of the car can be found here: http://picasaweb.google.com/ajy4490/MyCars#. Please note that the beginning ones are a few months old, but the car still looks the same. The last few pictures were taken yesterday.
