The local Audi dealer has a 2007 (new) S4 for sale.I checked prices atEdmunds with the options :
Invoice: $47.827 MSRP $51,725

The sticker price from the dealer is : $47,670.

I'm interested in buying it but I noticed the brake discs have visible corrosion (see picture below). Is this a red flag ?
Also the front of the hood is covered with a transparent plastic film to protect the paint. looking at it closely at one place there are very small air bubbles under the film where the hood has the creases. I know this is secondary just wondering if this is standard on the S4 ?
I'vetestdriven the car it feels great.I want to make sure there is nothing wrong.

dont worry bout the rust on the discs as soon as you step on the brakes that will dissapear my rotors always did that when it sat for more then 2 days

 

what is this your first car? these are all non-issues. with that car, those are the last things you need to worry about

 

No I'veowned Nissan and Honda cars. Since this is a new car, I thought I'd ask around but I was mainly hoping to get somecomments on the price.

 

I think it's a steal. Up Here in Canada the S4 start $64 000 and the USD and CDN are even now so I know where to buy my s4!
